Job Summary
Paraprofessionals provide direct student support and continuous learning opportunities to help prepare students for grade-level learning. Duties include supporting educators with differentiated instruction, healthcare needs, and intervention in regular education classrooms and alternative learning environments, supervision during physical activities, and aiding in social-emotional health. The role involves standing, bending, and close student contact, and requires collaboration under the supervision of principals, instructional facilitators, and classroom teachers. Eligible candidates hold an associate’s degree or two years of higher education or have completed a paraprofessional exam, with some specialized trainings provided by the school district.
