Job Summary
Facilitate student participation in instructional activities while providing individualized academic, behavioral, and personal care support to students with specialized needs. Reinforce Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), medical plans, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and maintain a supportive environment aligned with student learning goals under the supervision of a licensed educator. Promote independence and ensure safety and consistency throughout the school day. Requires a current Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education, applicable training including CPR/First Aid, and a high school diploma. Starting at $18.52 per hour plus $1.50 differential, with a 7-hour daily schedule across 184 school days. Applicants must pass an FBI/BCII criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education valid in Lakota Local Schools
- Successful completion of applicable training (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Crisis Prevention)
- Must be able to pass an FBI/BCII criminal background check
