Job Summary
Instructional Aide - Special Education / Attendant provides individualized academic, behavioral, and personal care support to a designated student with specialized needs under the supervision of a licensed educator. The role facilitates student participation in instructional activities, promotes independence, ensures safety and consistency throughout the school day, and reinforces IEPs and BIPs to align with the student’s learning and care goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education valid in Lakota Local Schools.
- Successful completion of applicable training (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Crisis Prevention as required).
