Job Summary
Instructional Aide provides instructional assistance to small groups of preschool students under the direction of the teacher. Responsibilities include assisting with checking, care, preparation, and arrangement of instructional materials and equipment; supporting attendance and enrollment procedures; and performing record-keeping, filing, and related tasks. The role also involves operating audio-visual equipment and a copy machine. Requires two years of college, an Associate's degree or higher, or demonstrated knowledge through an assessment. Pre-placement medical assessment, TB clearance, and fingerprint clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education, or an Associate's or higher degree, or pass a formal state or local academic assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics (or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness)
