Job Summary
Assists teaching staff with preschool classroom duties in accordance with grant standards, childcare licensing, USDA, and OCDC policies; supports safe, healthy classroom environment; provides coverage to maintain child-teacher ratios; assists with daily routines (toileting, dressing, meals, transitions); helps implement activities (free play, story time, learning centers); maintains classroom cleanliness and supplies; communicates respectfully with children, families, and staff; supports dual language activities when applicable; assists with basic record keeping and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
- Oregon Early Learning Division requirements for preschool Teacher Aide II
- Preschool Instructional Assistant CE meets requirements for Preschool Teacher Aide
- One year Oregon community college certificate (or college certificate equivalent) with training in early childhood development focusing on preschool age children
