Job Summary
Guide students through the ALEKS math placement process and assist with academic goal setting, targeted remediation, and study skills. Identify students facing delays in the math placement process and provide nudge support to those who have started but need encouragement to complete assessments. Offer guidance regarding Math Power Boost for students not assessing into a math course and communicate with stakeholders about technical issues. This role supports student success in mathematics at Montgomery College's Germantown Campus, with a 40-hour weekly schedule from July 13, 2026, to December 11, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of (4) years of experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at or above the developmental level
- Skilled in using computers and technology relevant to assisting and supporting students in a computer classroom or to preparing reports or other written materials
- Familiarity with instructional technology and educational materials in mathematics
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- BS in Mathematics, Math Education, or related field
