Job Summary
Assist Learning Specialists and general education teachers with students requiring Special Education services, guiding them through academic progress and behavioral support. Implement intervention plans to meet IEP goals, collect observational data on academic and behavioral outcomes, and maintain special education files and online IEP records. Perform screenings and assessments under supervision, document student progress toward established objectives, and facilitate communication regarding intervention strategies and compliance. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the community to support diverse secondary students while adhering to school mission, confidentiality standards, and anti-racist frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Commitment to the mission and vision of Envision Education
- Commitment to anti-racist and pro-Black ideologies in the workplace
- Knowledge of adolescent growth, development and behavior characteristics
- concepts of cognitive development

- Ability and willingness to support every student with learning needs
- Ability and willingness to implement students' IEPs or behavior support plans
- Ability to assist students in various subject areas
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing conditions

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education and special education colleagues, parents and community
- Prior experience working with secondary students with learning needs
- Prior experience working with a diverse student body
