Job Summary
Provide instructional and behavioral support to high school students with disabilities under the direction of the teacher. Adapt classroom activities and materials, implement and model behavior intervention plans, assist in training staff and parents in specialized instructional strategies, collect and monitor progress data, and supervise students during activities and travels. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, foster social skills, and support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals within Lorena ISD settings.
Required Qualifications
- Certified as outlined in No Child Left Behind
- High School Diploma or GED and "Highly Qualified" training certification; or at least 48 hours of college or an associate’s degree
