Job Summary
Assist the classroom teacher in supervising and instructing students while maintaining a safe physical environment and clean classroom organization. Support caregiving routines, including meal preparation, bathroom procedures, and indoor/outdoor recreational activities. Engage children in meaningful learning experiences and establish rapport while reporting accidents and implementing emergency procedures. Communicate with parents, staff, and volunteers to ensure a supportive learning atmosphere. Assume preschool teacher duties during absences and attend required meetings and in-services.
Required Qualifications
- Catholics must be willing to make a public profession of faith
- Non-Catholic must be willing to sign the Diocese of Phoenix Division of Education and Evangelization Profession of Faith form
- Effectively communicates with students, parents and staff
- Communicates in English at a level sufficient for successful job performance
- Effectively supervises and cares for students in their play and routines
- Meets the physical requirements necessary to perform the assigned duties safely and effectively
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be a high school graduate or GED
- Must participate in Safe Environment (Called to Protect) Training and sign the Code of Ethics Policy
- Fingerprinting (IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card) and Tuberculin tests and any other requirements shall be obtained prior to employment according to the Arizona Department of Health Services, Diocese of Phoenix and the Arizona State Dept. of Education
- Must be punctual and on time for work
- demonstrates ability to be flexible and carries out duties

- Will be willing to become more knowledgeable of effective and appropriate care-giving practices utilized in early childhood care
