Job Summary
Document business processes, perform data entry and analysis to identify trends, and summarize raw data sets for Institutional Effectiveness & Research Office consumption. Collaborate with Analytics and Decision Support on reporting, partner with IT on academic projects, and assist schools in meeting data quality deadlines. Streamline academic processes using new technology, manage project timelines and resources, and develop training materials for academic units. Continuously monitor systems to recommend improvements and ensure compliance with institutional policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 1-2 years of experience with academic operations
- Experience using MS Excel
- Experience using Information Systems
- Experience using pivot tables
- Experience using graphs and charts
- Experience using VLOOKUP
- Experience using other Excel functions
- Ability to attain an understanding of technical systems that support the assigned business unit
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data management
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
- Ability to frequently sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
- Ability to regularly hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building
- Ability to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business
- Ability to regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
Desired Qualifications
