Job Summary
Supervises inmates engaged in food preparation and assembly within an institutional setting, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. Coordinates tasks, maintains inventory, and trains inmates to promote operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Some mathematical ability required to calculate food costs and supplies
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must pass criminal background check
- One to three years stable work experience in institutional food service or food production
- Previous institutional experience required
- Must have or be able to obtain Food Handlers Management Certification.
Desired Qualifications
- Military cooking culinary specialist experience preferred
- Previous personal computer skills are a plus.
