Job Summary
Associate in Institutional Equity Sales supporting senior salespeople, attending IPO and follow-on presentations, backup coverage of existing equity relationships; fluent across products for a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance accounts, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds); ideas and market insights; collaborate with trading, research, banking, and syndicate to provide comprehensive client coverage; seeks hard-working, organized team player with strong communication and presentation skills; proficient with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office tools; Series 7 & 63 license preferred but not required initially. Location: Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in sales
- Hard working and self-motivated team player, works well in small groups, collaborates well with partners in Research, Trading, and Capital markets
- Critical thinker with the goal to help motivate stock idea generations and themes for clients
- Understanding of fundamental product knowledge and market structure
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
