Job Summary
Institutional Analyst responsible for delivering governed enrolment analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support strategic enrolment management, institutional planning, and regulatory accountability. Collaborates with enrolment, academic, and planning teams to produce accurate enrolment dashboards and analytical summaries; analyzes enrolment trends across programs, cohorts, and student populations; documents methodologies and assumptions; ensures reproducibility and transparency of analyses; contributes to long-range planning and communicates modelling assumptions and potential impacts. Requires strong skills in Excel, relational databases, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI), plus experience with statistical software (SPSS/SAS/R/Python) and SQL, with knowledge of privacy legislation (FIPPA, PIPEDA) and data governance; ability to present data accessibly to diverse audiences and work effectively with faculty and administrative stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a related analytical and/or research discipline (e.g., Business, Analytics, Marketing, Social Sciences) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in data analysis, institutional planning, or performance measurement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relational databases, and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)
- Experience with statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R, or Python) and data querying techniques (SQL)
- Knowledge of privacy legislation (FIPPA, PIPEDA) and data governance principles
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships; clear and effective communication; ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Detail-oriented with focus on data integrity and accuracy in reports and analyses
