Job Summary
Provide on-site nursing care within ODOC correctional facilities, focusing on incarcerated individuals with mental health and substance use needs. Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, diagnoses, care planning, medication administration, lab procedures, and treatment per ODOC policies and standards. Coordinate on-site and community-based services, educate patients and non-medical staff, document care accurately, and supervise unit operations in the absence of management. Emphasize continuity of care, safety, and adherence to evidence-based practices in a challenging correctional environment. Requires Oregon RN license; AFSCME represented; swing/night/weekend shifts may apply; comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Oregon Registered Professional Nurse's License at the time of appointment (unencumbered license preferred).
- Evidence of current nursing licensure required for employment.
- Minimum qualifications and preferred attributes as described in the job posting (professional principles, nursing theory, pharmacology, infection control, ethics, counseling, etc.).
- Experience working in a healthcare setting with the ability to provide direct patient care, education, and coordination of care.

- CJIS fingerprint-based background check required; CJIS eligibility must be maintained.
