Job Summary
Conduct material handling, loading, unloading, staging, and site organization under direct supervision of a journeyman. Deliver tools, materials, or equipment and maintain a clean work area by picking up trash, sweeping, and restocking supplies. Perform entry-level tasks with hand tools while strictly adhering to safety rules, common sense practices, and all company and customer safety policies. Accurately report daily time and equipment usage. Work at heights on scaffolds, lifts, and ladders, and in confined spaces such as tanks or vaults, while tolerating exposure to weather, noise, dust, fumes, and heavy equipment. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and willingness to sign up as an entry-level helper with a union affiliate.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Trade related math
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Must be willing to sign up as an entry level helper with one of our union affiliates
- Successful passing of drug test and background investigation as a contingency for employment
- Must be dependable - show up and ready to work on time
- Need to be able to communicate with leaders and co-workers
- Ability to work at heights (on scaffolds, lifts, ladders, on the edge of a roof, etc.)
- Ability to work in confined spaces (ex: inside tanks or vaults)
