Job Summary
The Stone Installer is responsible for the precise installation of various stone materials including natural stone, tiles, and masonry products in interior and exterior construction projects. Key responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and shaping stones, preparing surfaces, applying adhesives, ensuring accurate alignment and leveling, inspecting installations for quality, and collaborating with other construction professionals. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of safety procedures, and physical fitness for manual labor. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with additional preferred qualifications including extensive experience and proficiency in stone installation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with different cutting and shaping tools used in stone installation.
- Proficiency in the installation of various stone materials, including natural stone and tiles.
- Knowledge of adhesion techniques and sealing methods.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor and lifting heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to a safe working environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Stone Installer in the construction industry.
- More than 7 years’ experience installing natural stone, tiles, and masonry products.
- Expert proficiency in the use of cutting and shaping tools for stone materials.
- Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
