Job Summary
Install, service, remove, and retrieve electronic monitoring and GPS devices within specified time frames across Adult Probation-Parole, Juvenile Justice offices, and residences. Troubleshoot equipment problems, complete online work submissions, maintain inventory levels, and clean devices worn by probationers. Provide management updates on work performed, encountered problems, and inventory status. Work as a civilian without criminal justice authority, performing duties within the listed County and surrounding areas. Requires valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and availability during 8am-5pm. Background and drug screenings are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must not have been on supervised probation in the past
- Applicants must pass background and drug screenings
- Applicants cannot be a current employee NC Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) or NC Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
- If you are a former NCDAC/NCDJJ employee you must have left on good terms no matter the reason for your departure (resigned, retired etc.)
- Successful applicant(s) will voluntarily work in his/her geographic area on an as needed basis only
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license
- Applicants must have current auto liability insurance tied to the vehicle in which work will be completed
- Applicants must have considerable work availability during 8am-5pm
