Job Summary
Read installation instructions and repair orders to perform installation, repairs, and maintenance on electric and hydraulic tarping systems. Execute routine maintenance, simple electrical work, and structural welding, ensuring all material cuts are de-burred and welds meet industry standards. Use supplied pick tickets and Bill of Materials lists to gather parts and assemble components for shipping or installation. Adhere to safety policies, wear prescribed PPE, and lock out unsafe equipment immediately. Work at heights up to 14 feet and lift assemblies up to 100 lbs as part of a team. Hourly rate is $24.00; high school diploma required with English fluency.
Required Qualifications
- Must fluently speak, read, and write English
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to lift assemblies up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work at heights of 12'-14' while on scissor lift or ladder
- Ability to work as a Team
- Ability to read and interpret installation instructions and sales orders
- Willing to work overtime or perform contract work outside regular work hours if necessary
- Ability to work safely and to high-quality standards
- Ability to read installation instructions
- Ability to perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs
- Ability to utilize fabrication and welding techniques when needed
- Ability to ensure all work is completed safely and to high-quality standards
- Mechanically inclined

- Working knowledge to select proper tools and material(s) to perform the task safely and at the highest level of quality possible
- Ability to read a tape measure in 16ths of an inch

- Ability to stop work immediately in the event of a non-conformance
- Ability to lock out equipment in an unsafe condition and notify a supervisor
- Ability to wear all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to perform simple and routine maintenance to ensure that all equipment and tools remain safe and fully operational
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Truck Equipment, Waste Equipment or related industry
- Experience with Hydraulic Equipment installations and repairs
- Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
