Job Summary
Installations Technician role focusing on automotive tire services, oil changes, MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance. Responsible for safe vehicle service, completing service work orders, obtaining parts through the desk, maintaining shop safety, and meeting quality standards. Requires ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a State Inspection License, with a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week in Worcester, MA. Emphasizes safety training, customer engagement, and adherence to VIP’s processes and regulatory requirements. Requires ability to read technical instructions, diagnose basic automotive issues, and communicate vehicle information to customers.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
