Job Summary
Installation Technician responsibilities include automotive tire repair and replacement, oil changes, MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance; ensure service work orders are initiated and displayed, complete MPIs, support 5-for-5 customer engagement, obtain needed parts from the desk, maintain safety and quality standards, and complete required training and ASE certifications; role requires knowledge of diagnostics, ability to explain vehicle information to customers, and compliance with safety, loss prevention, and environmental regulations; typical schedule is 5 days and 40 hours per week; location Waterville, ME; in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related automotive service experience
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Becoming a Licensed State Vehicle Inspector (state-specific requirement)
- Becoming TIA Basic automotive tire service (BATS) certified and TIA advanced TPMS certified
- Train, support and deliver the 5-for-5 process to educate customers about their vehicle’s condition
- Attend meetings and training sessions as needed
