Job Summary
Install and repair Spectrum services for residential customers, and educate customers on their use. This is an entry-level field-tech role with on-the-job training and a clear path for career progression from Field Technician I to IV, with salary growth opportunities. The position is outdoors, involves solving technical challenges, and requires effective communication and reliability while using hand tools and computers to serve customers. Training and career self-progression plans are provided, with opportunities for certification and leadership roles as you gain experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Schedule: Ability to travel to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities and other locations as necessary
- Language: Fluent in English
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using computers and software applications; competent in using hand tools
- Abilities: Effective communication, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsibility and reliability
- Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record within company standards required
- Physical: Walk over various terrains and weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment; lift up to 75 lbs; climb ladders up to 32 feet; operate company vehicle; work outdoors for extended periods
- Criminal history consideration in accordance with laws
