Job Summary
Installation Technician for septic systems responsible for safe, code-compliant installation of residential and commercial septic systems. Operates heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers), reads blueprints/site plans, installs tanks and piping, collaborates with inspectors, customers, and team members, conducts system inspections for real estate transactions, educates customers on operation/maintenance, maintains documentation, and participates in overtime/on-call rotations. Requires 3+ years of heavy equipment operation, Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement, DOT screen, and ability to read simple diagrams; travel and outdoor work in varied conditions; strong customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience (excavators, skid steers)
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and a clean driving record
- Prior septic installation and repair experience
- Ability to read and draw simple septic system diagrams
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy (email, internet)
- Must pass a DOT drug screen, physical exam, and road test
- Willingness to work weekends and on-call rotations during peak seasons
