Job Summary
Installation Technician responsible for automotive tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance. Ensures safety priority, completes service work orders, maintains parts flow through the desk team, supports 5-for-5 customer engagement, and adheres to VIP quality standards. Requires ASE G1/A4/A5 certifications (or equivalent), state inspection license, and a valid driver's license. Training includes LMS courses, safety certifications, and qualification to become ASE certified; standard work week is 5 days/40 hours. Performs road tests as needed, maintains shop cleanliness, and participates in team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Explain vehicle information to customers, respond to questions
- Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
- Interpret and apply instructions
- Ability to perform automotive services listed
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
