Job Summary
Installation Technician (I.T.) in Saco, ME is responsible for automotive tire services, oil changes, under-hood services (batteries, filters, bulbs, wipers, etc.), MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance, ensuring safety, accurate service work orders, and adherence to VIP quality standards. The role requires completing required LMS and safety training, obtaining and maintaining ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a State Inspection License, and maintaining productive performance as defined by the shop. The position emphasizes effective communication with customers and teamwork, with standard schedule of five days and 40 hours per week, and involves operating in a shop environment with the potential for hazardous materials handling and the need to uphold safety and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
