Job Summary
Installation Technician responsible for automotive tire and maintenance services including Tire Services, Oil Changes, Under-hood Services, MPIs, Wheel Alignments, and Preventive Maintenance. Maintains safety as Priority #1, ensures proper Service Work Orders and MPI completion, and participates in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process. Requires compliance with VIP safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements; must complete LMS training and required certifications (ASE G1, A4, A5, State Inspection License) and work a standard 40-hour week in a disciplined shop environment. The role emphasizes accurate diagnostics, customer communication, parts handling, and adherence to VIP’s culture and procedures to deliver high-quality service at the Rutland, VT location.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
