Job Summary
Installation Technician at VIP in Rockland, ME provides automotive tire, oil, under-hood, MPI and preventive maintenance services, ensures Service Work Orders are initiated and completed, supports 5-for-5 customer engagement, maintains shop cleanliness and safety, and must obtain required ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and State Inspection License. The role requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, explaining vehicle information to customers, diagnosing basic automotive problems, and maintaining ASE certification status. Standard schedule is a 5-day, 40-hour work week with in-person duties in a shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
