Job Summary
Install and troubleshoot fiber-to-the-home services, including customer equipment setup for modems and routers, while performing site surveys and maintaining plant infrastructure. Diagnose impairments by reading system maps and designs, and provide excellent customer service during installations. Work in confined spaces, on roofs, and poles, using hand tools and carrying up to 75 pounds in all weather conditions. Maintain accurate inventory of company property and track all work through the CRM. Must be able to work unsupervised, handle overtime, and pass background and drug/alcohol screenings.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must Be able to walk, bend and lift while carrying up to 75 pounds
- Work outside for extended periods in any season and/or during inclement weather
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills, as well as working together as a team
- Ability to work unsupervised, as well as self-motivation
- Be able to read system maps, designs, and symbols
- Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve issues related to fiber to the home impairments
