Job Summary
Installation Technician duties include performing automotive tire and maintenance services (tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPIs, wheel alignments, preventive maintenance) with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service. The role requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, diagnosing basic automotive problems, communicating vehicle information effectively to customers, maintaining Service Work Orders and MPI documentation, managing parts from the desk, and adhering to VIP quality standards and safety programs. Requires ASE certifications, G1/A4/A5 where applicable, and state inspection licensing, plus the ability to train, participate in the 5-for-5 process, and maintain shop cleanliness and regulatory compliance. The position is 40 hours per week, non-exempt, hourly, with an in-shop work environment and mandatory safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
