Job Summary
Installation Technician role in Manchester NH performing automotive tire, oil, under-hood, MPI inspections, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance with a focus on safety, quality, and customer engagement. The technician will ensure proper work orders, maintain compliance with VIP safety and quality standards, complete required training and certifications (including ASE G1, A4, A5, and TPMS/BATS as applicable), and perform duties in a fast-paced shop environment. Standard schedule is a 5-day, 40-hour workweek with a strong emphasis on safety, proper documentation, and adherence to municipal, state, and federal regulations. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers and teammates, diagnose basic automotive problems, and perform listed services while maintaining shop cleanliness and safety. Protective equipment and environmental compliance are required, with occasional training and meetings as part of the responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Explain vehicle information to customers; present and respond to questions from coworkers
- Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
- Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to successfully perform required types of automotive services listed above
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
