Job Summary
The Installation Technician (I.T.) maintains VIP’s service standards by performing automotive repair and maintenance services such as Tire Services, Oil Changes, Under hood Services, MPIs, Wheel Alignments, and Preventive Maintenance. Responsible for ensuring service work orders are initiated and properly completed, maintaining safety and quality compliance, and achieving required training and ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) along with a State Inspection License. Must work in a fast-paced shop environment, communicate effectively with customers, and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process while upholding safety and environmental regulations. Standard schedule is a 5-day workweek, 40 hours per week. Training and certification requirements include LMS coursework, protective equipment operation, and ASE certifications as specified.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or equivalent
- Current, valid driver’s license
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
