Job Summary
Installation Technician III responsible for installing, terminating and commissioning a wide range of physical security products and systems. Customer-facing role requiring excellent verbal and written communication, ability to work with PMO, Program and Project Managers, and to travel up to 60% with short notice. Duties include installing security devices per engineered drawings, maintaining safe and clean work environment, completing job tickets, and coordinating with supervisors. Requires proven field installation experience in the security domain, proficiency with copper/fiber data communications, familiarity with multiple access control platforms and video analytics, reading engineered drawings, and the ability to markup drawings post-install. Must maintain professional appearance, manage paperwork, and demonstrate strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. Optional experience in NERC-CIP environments and substation operations is a plus. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 5 years of field installation experience in the security environment
- AMAG/access control experience
- Strong understanding of copper and fiber data communication (fiber, transport equipment)
- Experience with multiple Access Control platforms
- Experience with various analytics and/or other video products
- Experience in installation of door hardware such as strikes
- Experience in reading and comprehending engineered drawings
- Experience in redlining/marking up drawings post-install
- Experience in NERC-CIP environments a plus
- Experience in substation operations and protocols a plus
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and teamwork; 'ONE TEAM' attitude
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; self-starter and quick learner
- Strong problem-solving skills
