Installation Technician III - Master Electrician

Job Summary
Supervise multiple installation teams while performing hands-on support for programming, troubleshooting, and field execution of commercial security systems. Manage medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously, overseeing on-site scheduling, equipment delivery, and wire concealment for access control, CCTV, and low voltage communication. Install, configure, and test electronic security devices including door locks, sensors, and signaling systems to ensure code compliance and contract satisfaction. Drive to client sites with a company vehicle to confirm system functionality and deliver product training to end-users. Work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction, maintaining approved hours and margins while completing daily time entry.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs
- Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic. etc.)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Must possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle
- Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
- Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with third-party applications and deploying IP video solutions
- Possess general working knowledge of network architecture
- Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with any or all of the following: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
