Job Summary
Conduct new cable television and broadband installations, including exterior and interior drop connections from tap to antenna terminals. Perform service changes, add outlets, install converters, and analyze picture quality using field strength meters and diagnostic tools. Maintain company vehicles, complete system logs, and adhere to FCC rules while representing i3 to customers in their homes. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift up to 75 pounds, and climb utility poles or work from high spaces with proper rigging. Available for occasional overtime and nights as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work occasional overtime and some nights (as needed).
- Clean driving record required.
- Must be able to work outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Better than average manual dexterity to work with connectors, fasteners and wire and use hand tools.
- Visual acuity, especially when working with small components at a close visual range.
- Ability and comfort to works within limited confines, such as crawl spaces.
- Ability to climb utility poles or work from high spaces with or without the assistance of a bucket truck, while adhering to safety rules/regulations and with proper rigging/climbing equipment.
- Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Desired Qualifications
- Any demonstrated interest or aptitude for hands-on work, physical work, or working with cable or electrical components is preferred.
- Prior telephone, cable, or electrical experience is preferred.
- Must be computer proficient, and have a basic understanding of consumer electronics.
- Delights in providing excellent customer satisfaction.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality results.
- Inquisitive and analytical with a passion for technology.
- Preference for hands-on work.
