Job Summary
Install and support cable television and broadband services by completing customer drop installations from tap to antenna terminals, performing new connects, disconnects, and outlet additions. Analyze picture quality, read signal levels with field strength meters, and use diagnostic tools like VOMs to troubleshoot line issues. Maintain company vehicles, manage paperwork, and adhere to FCC rules while generating revenue through product sales. Work independently or as part of a team in all weather conditions, lifting up to 75 pounds and climbing utility poles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work occasional overtime and some nights (as needed).
- Clean driving record required.
- Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Better than average manual dexterity to work with connectors, fasteners and wire and use hand tools.
- Visual acuity, especially when working with small components at a close visual range.
- Ability and comfort to works within limited confines, such as crawl spaces.
- Ability to climb utility poles or work from high spaces with or without the assistance of a bucket truck, while adhering to safety rules/regulations and with proper rigging/climbing equipment.
Desired Qualifications
- No prior experience is necessary, however any demonstrated interest or aptitude for hands-on work, physical work, or working with cable or electrical components is preferred.
- Prior telephone, cable, or electrical experience is preferred.
- Must be computer proficient, and have a basic understanding of consumer electronics.
- Delights in providing excellent customer satisfaction.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality results.
