Job Summary
Installation Technician needed in Farmington, ME to perform automotive tire, fluid, and accessory services with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer engagement. Responsibilities include executing tire services, oil changes, MPIs, wheel alignments, preventive maintenance, and ensuring proper service work orders are initiated and completed. The role requires following safety and loss-prevention policies, maintaining shop cleanliness, attaining ASE/G1/A4/A5 certifications, and participating in ongoing training and meetings. The position supports a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week with hourly pay; candidates should have at least one year of automotive service experience and preferably a two-year technical program. State vehicle inspection licensing and BATS/TPMS certifications are noted as part of the technical requirements plus adherence to VIP quality standards and customer-service goals.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
