Job Summary
Installation Technician responsible for automotive repair and tire services including Tire Services, Oil Changes, Under hood Services (Batteries, Filters, Bulbs, Wipers, etc.), MPIs, Wheel Alignments, and Preventive Maintenance. Ensures safety as Priority #1, completes Service Work Orders, maintains MPIs, and participates in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process. Obtains needed parts from the Desk Team, returns unused parts, and handles cores and tires per policy. Maintains productivity targets (minimum 50% over 16 weeks) and follows VIP quality service standards. Completes required LMS training and safety programs, maintains ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and State Inspection License, and trains to become ASE-certified technicians. Performs road tests to verify vehicle safety, keeps the work area clean, and adheres to OSHA/loss-prevention guidelines. Standard schedule is five days per week, 40 hours, with on-site shop duties in Burlington, VT. This role requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, communicating with customers, diagnosing automotive issues, and performing the listed automotive services.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Become Licensed State Vehicle Inspector (state-specific requirement)
