Job Summary
Installation Technician responsibilities include automotive tire repair and replacement, tire services, oil changes, under-hood services (batteries, filters, bulbs, wipers), MPIs and wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance. You will ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated, complete MPIs prior to service, and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process. Maintain safety compliance, follow VIP quality standards, complete required training and ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a State Inspection License. The role requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, explaining vehicle information to customers, diagnosing basic automotive problems, and sustaining a minimum productivity level of 50% over 16 weeks. The standard work week is 5 days, 40 hours, with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
