Job Summary
Installation Technician responsibilities include performing automotive tire and maintenance services (tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPIs, wheel alignments, preventive maintenance) while following safety, loss-prevention, and company policies. The role ensures a valid Service Work Order is initiated and MPI is completed, supports and participates in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process, and returns all unused parts appropriately. The technician must maintain certifications (ASE G1, A4, A5 recommended), as well as a State Inspection License, and complete required LMS training. The position requires daily collaboration with the Service Manager/desk team, road-testing vehicles, and maintaining a safe, clean work area in an indoor service department. Standard management week includes 5 days and 40 hours per week; the role is hourly, non-exempt, with a focus on technical diagnostics, customer communication, and adherence to VIP safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
