Job Summary
Installation Technician responsible for automotive tire/maintenance services, MPI adherence, safety compliance, and customer engagement. Performs tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPI, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance; ensures proper service work orders, part handling, and adherence to VIP quality standards. Requires ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5), state inspection license, and BATS/TPMS training; must maintain safety and regulatory compliance; typical schedule 40 hours/week with 5-day workweek; non-exempt hourly position.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
- Ability to explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions
