Job Summary
Installation Technician duties include performing automotive tire repair and replacement, oil changes, under-hood services (batteries, filters, bulbs, wipers, etc.), MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance, ensuring service work orders are initiated and tracked, maintaining safety and quality standards, completing required training and certifications, and communicating effectively with customers and teams while following VIP processes and regulatory requirements. The role requires maintaining ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a State Vehicle Inspector license, along with general safety and shop maintenance responsibilities, and adherence to the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
