Job Summary
Installation Technician position in Arundel, ME focusing on automotive tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, following VIP processes, initiating and using Service Work Orders, completing MPIs, returning parts to the desk, handling cores and used tires, maintaining productivity targets, and adhering to VIP quality and regulatory requirements. Required competencies include interpreting technical instructions, diagnosing basic automotive problems, communicating with customers, and maintaining ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a State Inspection License; completion of two-year college/technical program is recommended. The position is non-exempt, hourly, typically 40 hours per week, with a 5-day schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year college or technical school program completed or in progress
- One year of related automotive service experience
- Current valid driver's license
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair (recommended)
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering (recommended)
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes (recommended)
- State Inspection License (required)
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions
- Explain vehicle information to customers
- Diagnose automotive problems
- Interpret instructions and apply written procedures
