Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Three years' experience with equipment and software in area of responsibility
• •An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job's essential duties
• •A valid driver's license
• •Successful passing results of Preemployment Drug Testing and Federal Background Check
• •Knowledge of applicable hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• •Knowledge of vehicle installation practices
• •Knowledge of diagnostic analyzer tools and equipment
• •Knowledge of customer service principles
• •Knowledge of recordkeeping principles
• •Knowledge of basic inventory principles
• •Must have experience with 12V vehicles
• •Must have hand tools to include sockets, screw drivers, wrenches, wire strippers
• •Skill in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, network, and peripheral problems
• •Skill in providing customer service
• •Skill in utilizing diagnostic analyzers and related equipment and tools
• •Skill in preparing records and reports
• •Skill in installing and configuring public safety equipment to include lights, wires, radios, computers, vehicle partitions and related peripherals
• •Skill in communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
• •Skill in monitoring inventory
• •Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public, etc sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
• •Physical ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• •Physical ability to balance while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
• •Physical ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like
• •Physical ability to crawl on hands, knees, hands, and feet
• •Physical ability to crouch by bending the body downward and forward
• •Physical ability to perceive attributes of objects by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
• •Physical ability to pick, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers
• •Physical ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
• •Physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels
• •Physical ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make sound discrimination
