Job Summary
Installation Technician IV is responsible for structured cabling and the installation of total integrated voice and data systems, networks, and wireless. Duties include installing and maintaining equipment, performing installations and maintenance of equipment, engineering new projects, coordinating with customers, staging equipment and inventory, ensuring calibration, writing and presenting procedures for customer approval, assigning tasks to subordinates, and conducting quality assurance to deliver a safe, on-time, profitable project. Requires travel up to 50%, strong mechanical and ICT skills, proficiency with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Must be able to work in Norfolk, VA with on-site responsibilities and adherence to Telecommunication safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 years telecommunication training and/or experience
- Demonstrated proficiency and profitability at the Technician III level
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
