Job Summary
Installation Tech IV responsible for structured cabling and installation of total integrated voice/data systems, networks, and wireless. Duties include installations/maintenance of equipment, project engineering, coordinating installations with customers, staging equipment and inventory, documenting procedures, managing subordinates, ensuring safety and quality, interfacing with customers and other vendors, performing QA checks, and contributing to on-time project delivery. Requires high school diploma or GED, at least 6 years telecom experience, proficiency beyond Technician III, strong mechanical and problem-solving skills, and ability to obtain required clearances. Travel up to 50% with no specified remote-work arrangement. This role emphasizes hands-on installation, project coordination, safety compliance, and customer-facing communications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 years telecommunication training and/or experience
- Demonstrated proficiency beyond Technician III level in telephony/installation
- Ability to think critically and solve problems
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient with Windows-based computers
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and on time
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications
- Ability to work alone and with a team
- Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
