Job Summary
Installation Technician IV is responsible for structured cabling and installation of total integrated voice and data systems, networks, and wireless. Duties include installations and maintenance of equipment, engineering of new projects, installation/maintenance of central office equipment and outside plant, inventory and calibration of tools, submitting ECR/Red Line changes, preparing and presenting method of procedure for customer approval, coordinating with customers and vendors, ensuring quality and timely project completion, and adhering to Environmental, Health & Safety standards. Requires proficiency in telecommunication technologies, project coordination, documentation, and strong communication skills; travel up to 50% and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must have a high school diploma or GED, 6+ years of telecom experience, and pass background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 years telecommunications training and/or experience
- Demonstrated proficiency and profitability at the Technician III level
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
