Job Summary
Installation Specialist ensures restaurant sites are prepared for successful POS installations through virtual assessments, on-site readiness checks, and installation execution. Responsibilities include virtual site surveys, wiring/electrical/network readiness validation, advanced diagnostics, and collaboration with Project Managers, Technicians, and Engineering. Lead installations of POS hardware, cabling, and configuration; provide onsite staff training; perform post-installation follow-ups; travel to client sites regularly; mentor junior specialists and contribute to process improvements. Requires deep understanding of networking infrastructure, experience with POS systems across franchised environments, ability to manage multi-site deployments, and strong client-facing communication (Zoom or in-person). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM/ticketing tools, and travel/expense management. English fluency and Spanish bilingualism are highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- An Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking or Systems Administration, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Hospitality Management (with strong technical acumen) or a related field is preferred
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- 2-3 years of restaurant and/or technical support experience
- Experience in fintech or SaaS environments preferred
- Travel to client sites as required
- Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems, hardware/software, and installations
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
