Job Summary
Install and repair residential and small business fiber, Wi-Fi, and voice services while adhering to safety codes and company procedures. Perform technical troubleshooting for Remote Gateways, wireless extenders, and account provisioning issues in collaboration with remote teams. Mentor and coach Installation Services Technician I, providing guidance on installations, safety standards, and critical functions. Update customer accounts to maintain accurate service records and educate clients on products. Work independently on poles, roofs, and in confined spaces using ladders, bucket trucks, and hand tools to complete wiring for single and multiple dwelling units.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience installing and repairing telecommunications or cable services
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check that meets company standards
- Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs of equipment as required
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required
- Ability to demonstrate consistent, regular, and punctual attendance
- Ability to work in areas with exposure to moderate noise level, dogs or other house pets, construction areas, or the public in general
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working directly with fiber including single/drop fiber splicing and repair
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a variety of situations
- Passion to learn and explore new skills each day
