Job Summary
Installations Engineer at Samsara in the EMEA region who oversees customer deployments with installation partners, provides onsite support for complex deployments, and de-risks projects to deliver high-quality installations. You will define installation best practices for the EMEA organization, create project-specific installation guides with partners, deliver onsite training to installer technicians, coordinate with partners to ensure work is completed on time and within budget, identify risks and mitigation strategies, provide onsite oversight for large or complex deployments, perform first-of-a-kind installations, capture lessons learned to improve processes, and collaborate with internal teams to escalate issues and improve the installation experience. Requires substantial travel and experience in vehicle/hardware technology installations, with strong project management, communication, and technical deployment skills. Flexible working is offered with in-person and remote options depending on operational requirements. Location hinted as London, UK.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience managing vehicle and/or hardware technology
- Prior vehicle installation or fitter experience (e.g. experience installing emergency lighting, two-way mobile radios, GPS equipment, antennas or other electrical equipment)
- Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and Power Take Off (PTO) applications, for on-road and off-road vehicles and industrial equipment
- Confident in electronic & system integration and specification
- Experience in field operations coordination, implementation, and technical deployment
- Interest in AI with the view to create tooling to operate at scale
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration
- Must have valid driver's license and be insurable
