Job Summary
Review project briefs and technical drawings prior to site visits, then assess conditions to adapt plans for client and company standards. Install and configure networking hardware from Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, and Juniper, performing firmware updates and initial testing to validate operation. Troubleshoot on-site issues, escalate complex problems, and adhere strictly to safety protocols while maintaining thorough documentation and reports. Collaborate with internal teams and communicate professionally with clients. This role is based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
Required Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent experience in Telecommunications, Networking, Computer Science or a related field
- Proven experience in network installation or a similar technical role
- Practical and hands-on experience with networking protocols, hardware installation and industry best practices
- Current industry certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
- Excellent communication skills for working with colleagues and clients
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a commitment to workplace safety
- Flexibility to support the broader team during peak workload times
- Valid and permanent working rights in Australia
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with the deployment of medium to large (50 WAPs and above) WiFi installations
- Experience with Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, and Juniper Firewalls
