Job Summary
Install Technician II responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection) for federal-government projects. Duties include running and terminating low-voltage cabling, integrating components, configuring equipment (cameras, access panels, alarms), conducting system tests, maintaining installation records, and providing client training and support. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, Lenel OnGuard Certification, and have 5+ years of experience with security systems; ability to program Lenel and Milestone systems; strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Scheduling involves on-site work in Columbia, MD area with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lenel OnGuard Certification
- 5+ years proven experience in installation and maintenance of security systems
- Ability to program Lenel and Milestone systems
- Knowledge of low-voltage cabling, wiring, and termination techniques
- Familiarity with security equipment and software from various brands
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
